Develops technical designs, process diagrams, SCADA block diagrams, and control schematics to implement automation controls. Being a Control & Instrument Engineer configures systems using PLC and HMI techniques. Models, tests, and measures output and data to analyze performance or quality issues and develop solutions. Additionally, Control & Instrument Engineer requires a bachelor's degree in engineering. Typically reports to a manager. The Control & Instrument Engineer work is closely managed. Qualifications Associate degree or equivalent from two year college or technical school and / or three years of sales experience in mechanical field. Experience with steam and hot water systems. Ambitious ‘hunter’ sales personality. Mechanical aptitude and / or practical knowledge of pipe, valves and fittings. Computer skills including Microsoft Office. Able to work both independently and in a team environment. Other Important information Technical training provided by company during work hours.
