    Job Summary:

    Uses AutoCAD software to produce complete and accurate redline drawings. Provides support to designers in the process of control panel design, P&IDs, mechanical installation, electrical loop drawings, panel risers, and project as-built documents as well as other entry level drafting tasks. Takes direction and seeks guidance from senior designers.

    Education and Experience:

    • Associate degree in drafting, or other pertinent curriculum combined with relevant technical experience.
    • Typically, 15 years of experience.
    • Proven Track Record: 5 years as Control Systems Designer II or equivalent.

    Duties and Responsibilities:

    Technical Responsibilities:

    • Exhibit expert proficiency in the use of Computer Aided Drafting (CAD) tools.
    • Demonstrate the ability to develop control system drawing packages under the direction of lead design engineers.
    • Proficient in developing drawings in control panel design, P&IDs, mechanical installation, panel riser, and point-to-point loop drawings.
    • Demonstrate the ability to assist the Sales Team to develop system drawings in support of technical proposals.
    • Demonstrate the ability to assist the Quality Team in preparation of QMS documents and drawings as required.
    • Assist in the development of drawing templates and standards that will be used by the rest of the staff.
    • Demonstrate the ability to support engineers in researching instrument part numbers, technical specifications, and wiring details.
    • Demonstrate the ability to proof-read the design team’s documentation.
    • Exhibit proficiency in Microsoft operating systems and Office tools.

    • Communicate in an effective, positive, and proactive manner with customers.
    • Complete assigned tasks accurately, on schedule, and under budget.
    • Understand the scope of work assigned to you, identify when issues arise that are beyond that scope, and communicate those issues to the assigned project lead.
    • Continuously provide input and direction on how to increase efficiencies related to the generation of control system design packages.

    Travel required:

    • As required, expected to be 0-5%.

    Work Authorization/Other Requirements:

    • Proof of eligibility to work in the country where the position is located is required.
    • Maintain a valid drivers license.
    • Fit for Duty at all times
