Control Systems Lead jobs in Springfield, IL

Valley View Agri-Systems is seeking a self-motivated, talented, full-time Lead Designer. This individual will work directly with customers, construction managers, and the fabrication shop to create designs and drawings from project concept to closeout.

Qualified candidates must create concept layout and design, review specifications, assist the quote team with estimates, and travel to job sites to get dimensional information for site layout using tape measure, total station, and/or 3D scanner. This person will aid in approval, improvement and standardization of product designs, drafting procedures, systems, and department operation. This role will lead design team operation.

Job Requirements:

• Minimum of drafting related career field required, Associates or Bachelors degree preferred.
• 4 years of experience in bulk material handling filed, such as grain and feed.
• 4 years of experience using 2D CAD software or 3D software
• 3D design preferred
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft and 2D/3D computer assisted design software types
• Basic understanding of mathematics, general construction, and technical skills in computer aided drafting
• Estimating experience a plus.
• Project and or Construction Management experience a plus.
• Fabrication experience and fab shop design is a plus.
• The ability to effectively communicate and interact with co-workers, at all levels within the organization, in a positive manner.
