We are looking for an experienced full-time Controller with to help lead our amazing Finance Team. What you can expect from ShelterCare:
ShelterCare is a non-profit that believes in "housing first", we meet people where they are. The Controller is responsible for the staff and services provided through the Fiscal department at ShelterCare. The Controller oversees the day to day activities of the fiscal department, including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Billing and Payroll. This position is part of the Management Team that works closely with the Senior Directors and CEO to ensure that all accounting department activities, policies and procedures meet the mission, vision and values of the agency.
The Controller takes primary responsibility for the grant tracking process within the organization, as well as acting as primary collaborator in the development and application of the agency budget, working closely with program managers and leadership team to plan, monitor, and ensure compliance in program spending and revenue capture. The budget will be used to support program operations, communicate results and evaluate potential new service areas, grants and contracts.
This position will serve as the primary financial liaison with program staff and leadership team for grant-related and budget related financial information and reporting needs. Will assist program staff with the development of pre-award grant budgets, and post-award grant administration and accounting, ensuring compliance with OMB uniform guidance and funding source guidelines and timely & accurate submission of financial reporting.
This is a full-time exempt position that will report to the Senior Director of Finance. The starting range for this role is $83,137-$84,364/per year, depending on a number of factors including experience. This position is eligible for medical, dental, and vision insurance.
