    Position Summary:

    Supervise a staff of mobile crisis response workers and manage stabilization services for Atlantic and Cape May County's. Responsible for de-escalating crises, developing clarity with the family about the underlying issues which precipitated the crisis, completing an assessment and crisis plan, and get the client into treatment in order to stabilize the child and family. Demonstrate technical and clinical skills including crisis intervention, assessment, and service planning, case management, and systems negotiations. Provide weekly clinical supervision in an individual or group setting. While the program coordinator is not responsible for performance evaluations or disciplinary action, the position required that the program coordinator provide input into performance evaluations or disciplinary actions for the staff they supervise, and any clerical staff that may be involved with the operations of the MCRSS.

    Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Conduct case safety risk assessments. Alert supervisor of safety concerns. Behave in accordance with safety tips, policy, and procedures

    • Provide on-call coverage when office is not open, or understaffed as agreed upon with Director.

    • Provide crisis intervention, assessment, crisis planning, linkage, case management, and discharge planning for children and families.

    • Utilize MRSS clinical tools (CAT and ICP) and measurements in service delivery.

    • Review ICP's developed by the staff to ensure that the appropriate level of care is being utilized, and the treatment plan is clinically supported.

    • Review cases with the staff to develop a preliminary diagnosis.

    • Collect and analyze outcome data supporting network utilization and adherence to established standards, Provide necessary documents to the Quality Assurance Specialist within the specific timeline. Facilitate the evaluation proc3ss by participation in the Client Questionnaire process.

    • Demonstrate professional responsibility in making effective use of individual and group supervision, program meetings, agency resources, and training sessions.

    • Work cooperatively and effectively with staff from referral sources, other community agencies, and stabilization provider networks regarding case management issues and linkages to stabilization and aftercare services.

    • Demonstrate competence in working independently where crisis may occur.

    • Develops and executes affiliation agreements and/or subcontractors which support the crisis stabilization network.

    • Works with the state, utilizing quality and other relevant data, to identify crisis stabilization gaps in Union County and which support the expansion and/or implementation of new services.

    • Documentation must be completed within one (1) business day of service delivery

    Minimal Qualifications:

    Master's Degree in social work, counseling, psychology, psychiatric nursing, criminal justice, special education, or a related discipline.

    Licensure: Clinical License Preferred Mandatory if Project Director is not clinically licensed

    Certifications: NJ MRSS Certification required- current certification or obtain within one year of hire or transfer; maintain certification throughout employment
    Valid NJ driver's license required

    Equipment Use: Computer, copier, facsimile, typewriter and shredder.
