Job Description:

Child Care Aware River Valley is seeking a dedicated and passionate Program Coordinator to oversee our office in Fort Smith, Arkansas. The Program Coordinator will play a crucial role in training early care providers and parents, both in person and via online platforms such as Zoom. This position requires a candidate who can build trust with early care providers, work independently, and maintain the utmost professionalism.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct training sessions for early care providers and parents in both in-person and virtual settings.
• Build trust and maintain strong relationships with early care providers.
• Initiate and nurture contacts and connections with early care programs.
• Willingness to travel to all counties within the service area.
• Actively listen, problem-solve, and assess the needs and concerns of early care providers.
• Demonstrate exceptional writing, documentation, and organizational skills.
• Exhibit competent computer skills.
• Provide early childhood professional development training, covering topics such as social/emotional health, brain development, developmental stages, and classroom management.
• Be culturally aware and respectful in all interactions.
• Possess dependable transportation to travel to various locations.
• Maintain records and report data monthly or as needed.
• Generate statistical reports as required, including monthly, quarterly, and yearly reports.
• Be willing to engage in public speaking and community outreach on behalf of Child Care Aware.
• Attend conferences and provide support to the University of Arkansas Fort Smith and Child Care Aware NWA conferences.
• Be flexible in working some evenings as needed.

Qualifications:

• A Bachelor's degree with an emphasis on early childhood education training and skills is preferred.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Proficiency in public speaking and the ability to build relationships with early childhood professionals and the community.
• At least 3 years of experience working with early childhood professionals.
• Strong computer proficiency.
• Self-motivated, creative, disciplined, and a positive energy contributor to the team.
