Job Description
Child’s Play is a Parent Cooperative preschool where parents and teachers work together to create a warm, nurturing, enriching, developmentally appropriate, play-based environment for 2, 3 and 4 year old children.
We are searching for an Education/Administrative Coordinator to join our incredible team of experienced teaching professionals. You must be flexible, organized, willing to collaborate, have good communication skills; and excited about working with our families who participate daily in the program as duty/helper parents, serve as board members and are the true administrators of our school.
As the Ed/Admin Coordinator you will follow the educational/developmental philosophy of the program to oversee the development and implementation of the curriculum ; oversee and ensure compliance with all DCYF regulations, and BrightStars and NAEYC Accreditation requirements; support/mentor/supervise the teaching team; work collaboratively with staff and parents; and help with the day-to-day operations of the school. You will work closely with the Co-Presidents and Administrative Assistant to ensure all these things are met.
Our program runs September - June.
Hours are Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays 8:30 - 2:15, Tuesdays and Thursdays 8:30 - 12:30
Other hours include attending Board Meetings, All School Meetings, Staff Meetings, Open House, Parent Orientation and other school functions, many of which take place during evening hours.
