Cooperative Program Coordinator jobs in Reading, PA

The Children’s Home of Reading Youth & Family Services is seeking Full-Time Program Coordinator at our Drop in Center as part of our Community Prevention Partnership Program.

The primary purpose of the Program Coordinator is to assist the Program Manager in the day-to-day operations of the Circle of Friends Drop in Center. The program coordinator is responsible for planning and implementing educational, socialization and recreational opportunities for adult mental health consumers.

The Program Manager will also provide consumers with assistance accessing basic services.

Fulltime, flexible hours to accommodate staffing needs of Circle of Friends Drop in Center, Monday through Thursday 8:00 am - 5:00 pm, Friday 8:00 am – 3:00 pm.

Requirements:

• Minimum of Associates degree in Human Services or Behavioral Health, Bachelor’s degree preferred
• Valid PA driver’s license with ability to drive 14 passenger van
• Experience in behavioral or mental health services and or substance abuse
• Bi-lingual English/Spanish preferred
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills (e.g., nonjudgmental, objective, reflective, empathic, patient, tactful)
• Ability to establish rapport with mental health consumers and empower them by building on their strengths
• Ability to assist in receiving and unloading food bank supplies: lift 40 pounds, stack boxes, place items in freezers,
