The Copyeditor II is responsible for creating and maintaining accurate and compelling content for written copy and/or websites and other online communications media. Reviews, edits, and re-writes a variety of documents and/or digital content. Being a Copyeditor II evaluates content for clarity, accuracy, and consistency. Ensures that all content meets required and accepted format and standards. In addition, Copyeditor II may coordinate with creative team to produce final drafts. Requires a bachelor's degree in journalism or equivalent. Typically reports to a manager. Being a Copyeditor II occasionally directed in several aspects of the work. You will create and edit original, helpful, honest, and harmless responses; fact check existing responses; bring submitted texts up to our standards; and work directly with Team Leads to help provide feedback to writers and other participants to ensure they can regularly produce high-quality work.

    Requirements

    • You have at least 2 years of professional experience in editing texts in English
    • You have a native level of English
    • A degree in communications, linguistics, literature, journalism, or similar would be an advantage
    • You are ready to learn new methods, able to switch between projects and topics quickly and sometimes work with challenging, complex guidelines
    • Our freelance role is fully remote so, you just need a laptop, internet connection, time available and enthusiasm to take on a challenge
