As one of the primary storytellers, the Copywriter will contribute to Bauer’s voice through a variety of projects across product and brand campaigns. They will be responsible for the execution of copy across multiple channels: digital, web, social, print, product launches, wholesale trade/sales and other product needs.

Essential Job Functions & Responsibilities:

• Executing copy needs across digital, e-comm, social, retail and other channels to support go-to-market strategies for all stages of the consumer journey.
• Writing benefit-driven copy that strengthens Bauer’s leadership position, drives action and generates conversions.
• Proofreading, editing, optimizing & aligning creative messaging for a unified experience.
• Crafting and evolving the brand voice for consistency on all touchpoints.
• Developing copy for email marketing campaigns that get opened, read and clicked.
• Working with cross-functional stakeholders to incorporate business & UX requirements.
• Managing multiple tasks simultaneously while always delivering high-quality work.
• Partnering with designers, channel owners and leadership whenever needed.
• Managing creative assets and aligning schedules to ensure on-time deliverables.
• Collaborating with Project Manager to ensure deadlines are met.
• Identifying current trends beyond hockey – understanding what is relevant in both culture, social media and technology.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree with minimum of 5 years of writing/content development experience, or equivalent years of relevant and related experience.
• Proven experience developing copy across multiple channels (digital, social, retail, email, broadcast), plus experience concepting “big ideas” that speak to consumers.
• Experience adapting writing skills to meet business, brand and consumer needs for websites, SEM campaigns, emails, digital ads & video scripts.
• Commitment to build & maintain working relationships with internal/external partners.
• Able to tailor content and writing style according to purpose – to sell or to inform.
• Able to write clearly and concisely with a core understanding of conversion optimization.
• Strong understanding of Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, Twitter and other social media best practices.
• Eager to learn more about digital strategies and adapt skills to keep pace with continually involving industry.
• Excellent verbal, written, communication, and presentation skills with the ability to work in an agile, fast-paced environment.
• Hockey knowledge – you love the game, and your passion comes through your writing.
• Adjusts quickly to changing priorities and business needs.
