Summary of Job Duties:

The Marketing Copywriter will be responsible for developing long-form and short-form content for multiple brands and channels in the Natural Products Industry, with the primary purpose of explaining scientific concepts in a way that makes sense to everyone. They will create engaging copy and effectively implement brand, style, and editorial guidelines across a wide range of marketing materials, in addition to internal and external communications. This role will work closely with our creative team (in addition to outside departments and agencies) to brainstorm ideas, develop concepts, and articulate messaging.

Specific Job Duties:

1. Create brand/product-related content for social media, video, articles, blogs, publications, website, retail collateral, presentations, ads, and other company material.
2. Edit and proofread materials to match tone, style, and personality.
3. Fact-check data utilizing both internal and external sources.
4. Support execution of various marketing campaigns.

Perform all other tasks as assigned by Threshold management.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications Required:

1. BA in English with a concentration in Professional and Technical Writing.
2. Facility with scientific and technical language.
3. Ability to translate technical information into consumer copy.
4. Portfolio of work that includes ad copy or demonstrated persuasive writing skills.
5. Demonstrated editing and proofing experience.

Skills and/or Training Desired:

1. Experience and/or familiarity with Nutrition and Food Science.
2. Knowledge of DSHEA and its application to writing claims in the Natural Products Industry.
3. Demonstrated copywriting experience in the Natural Products Industry.
4. Background in Biology (or similar medical-related field/industry).
5. Graduate of advertising schools (e.g. Portfolio Center, Miami Ad School, VCU Ad Center, The School of Visual Arts NYC).
6. Experience researching articles and fact-checking data collected during the content development process.
7. Ability to develop well-researched pitches for content submission.
