The Compliance Analyst monitors and audits financial activity and expenditures for sponsored awards and sub awards which fund research projects. This position ensures that all financial activities regarding these funds meet all applicable state, federal, and funding agency regulations and contractual terms and conditions. Provides relationship management with all sponsored award agencies and serves as liaison between Sponsored Programs (SP), Principal Investigators (PIs), Faculty and Administrators. This position provides guidance to SP staff and other BU Offices to ensure research projects follow University policies and procedures and all applicable regulatory compliance standards. Responsible for project budget administration including the activation and inactivation of budget accounts, processing non-complex grant and contract transactions, including but not limited to determining fund availability, verifying account coding and reviewing transactions for proper adherence to all applicable regulations. Assists with a variety of internal and external audits including the Federal A-133 audit.
