Corporate Construction Manager oversees construction projects and operations to meet the organization's financial and growth objectives and fulfill client contractual requirements. Follows established quality, performance, and safety standards and procedures for operations. Being a Corporate Construction Manager reviews and approves procurement of required material, equipment, subcontractors, and worker resources. Provides project updates and communicates with clients, contractors, governmental or regulatory officials, and other stakeholders. Additionally, Corporate Construction Manager builds effective team capacity to plan and implement construction projects. Ensures all permits, licenses, or certifications required by regulatory authorities are obtained. Establishes and enforces safety protocols and procedures to provide safe job sites and minimize risk. Monitors costs and timelines and submits required progress reports to deliver projects on time and within budget. Implements best practice construction methods to improve efficiency, productivity, and project outcomes. Requires a bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or related field. Typically reports to senior management. The Corporate Construction Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be a Corporate Construction Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1-3 years supervisory experience may be required.     JOB SUMMARY:
    Responsible in all phases of the construction/maintenance trade,floor care and welding. Serves as a model for customer service and other vital behaviors, and instills this value in all teammates. Creates an environment for continual learning and encourages an open dialogue among teammates. Provides leadership and motivation within the planning and Engineering Department to promote a culture reflective of Lowe's guiding principles, core values, and vision.

    Construction Director

    Teammates Supervised:
    None

    Inter-Relationships:
    Frequent contact with all teammates, customers, corporate office and vendors. Occasional contact with teammates from other locations.

    JOB DUTIES:
    - Framing and wood working requirements by studying specifications.

    - Prepare surfaces by using masking, grit blast, or chemical rinse.

    - Complete painting by adjusting spray guns, airbrushes, stencils, and equipment.

    - Maintain equipment by troubleshooting malfunctions; completing preventive maintenance requirements and
    schedules..

    - Ensure compliance with Company policies and procedures ( and thus compliance with all State and Federal
    Laws applicable to our industry).

    - Maintain safe conditions by following guidelines and procedures for handling and disposing of hazardous
    chemicals and waste.

    - Communicate and coordinate with other Management to provide feedback.

    - Keep work area maintained appropriately to ensure a safe work environment for teammates and customers.

    - Wiring of equipment, welding and its requirements.

    - Floor preparation, cleaning and wax and buffing.

    - Proper care and maintenance of floor care equipment.

    - Work with all Directors, Department Managers to troubleshoot and correct any unseen problems.

    - Adhere to all compliance of company policies, programs, procedures and guidelines.

    - Works with teammates to identify the root causes of issues and inefficiencies.

    - Constantly interacts with teammates to ensure that all teammates understand Lowe's expectations.
    Training and Experience:
    - High school diploma, preferably some college.

    Knowledge, Abilities and Skills:
    - Some carpentry, welding, painting, floor care experience and familiar with ADA and OSHA rules.

    Licenses, Registration and Certification:
    - Must possess a valid driver's license. Forklift certified, operate scissor-lift, Genie-lift.
    WORKING CONDITIONS:
    - Works in a well lit, well ventilated area. Occasional exposure to refrigerated storage areas, damp/humid conditions and seasonal outdoor weather. Local and long distance travel required. Subject to seasonal road conditions and other traffic hazards. Subject to communicable disease.

    PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
    - Heavy work- exerting 50-100 pounds of force occasionally, and 25-50 pounds of force frequently, and/or in excess of 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects. Must posses good audio, visual and hearing acuity. Requires walking and or standing to a significant degree. Must be able to climb, stand, bend, push or pull, twist, grasp, squeeze, stoop, kneel, squat, reach, handle, finger and feel. Subject to psychological stress.
