Corporate Controller jobs in Dallas, TX

• Lead the Financial Reporting, General Ledger, Cost Accounting and Internal Control functions and processes
• Maintain the accuracy and timeliness of financial / accounting processes and reporting in accordance with company accounting policies and US GAAP and other generally accepted accounting principles
• Perform full cycle accounting processes including: monthly close, review of journal entries, monthly accruals, account reconciliations, and the review and analysis of variances to budget and historical trends
• Manage the manufacturing cost accounting processes including; creating, monitoring and adjusting standard costs as well as analyzing cost variances for materials, labor and overhead
• Prepare monthly financial reporting package to include a full P&L, Balance Sheet and Statement of Cash Flows
• Manage the annual audit process with the outside CPA firm including planning the audit, managing the creation of audit schedules, resolving issues and preparing financial statements
• Maintain, monitor and internal controls and identify process and control deficiencies and work to monitor and implement new controls where necessary

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required
• 10 plus years of accounting experience with at least 3 years in a leadership role
• Manufacturing experience to include standard cost accounting
• CPA or CPA candidate preferred but not required
• Ability to work and communicate well with corporate functional leaders and manufacturing operating site leaders to understand sales, gross margin, and SG&A trends and variances
• Comfortable using multiple ERPs and extracting data into excel and using that data to do various month end accounting tasks and analysis
• Experience with ERP conversions
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Detail oriented, strong organizational skills, and ability to work independently
• Advanced excel skills including the proficient use of pivot tables, v-lookups, filters, conditional formatting and other similar level excel skills
• Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office suite
