Corporate Ethics & Compliance Specialist supports and coordinates the activities of the organization's global ethics and compliance function. Assists with the delivery and maintenance of programs to assess and manage legal and regulatory compliance risks and establish high ethical standards of conduct for the organization. Being an Corporate Ethics & Compliance Specialist prepares materials that communicate the organization's ethical standards, policies, and regulations. Supports or delivers employee training programs that raise awareness about ethics-related topics such as Anti-Bribery, Anti-Corruption, Antitrust, Conflicts of Interest, and others. Additionally, Corporate Ethics & Compliance Specialist generates reports of compliance monitoring statistics, investigations, outcomes, and remediations of any non-compliant actions. May administer reporting systems or helplines for employees, customers, contractors, and other stakeholders to disclose violations of the organization's ethical standards, violations of law, or policies without fear of retaliation. May require a bachelor's degree or equivalent. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department.     This position covers the San Jose, CA territory/jurisdiction and are expected to travel to the San Jose, CA area for compliance evaluations, complaint investigations and compliance assistance/outreach activities.

    Major Duties:

    • Conducts compliance evaluations and complaint investigations to determine if contractors' affirmative action programs contain acceptable hiring and promotion plans.
    • Plans, conducts, and reports on compliance evaluations, and identifies and defines deficiencies.
    • Investigates all aspects of discrimination allegations against a contractor, makes initial determination of the validity and attempts to resolve the complaint.
    • Identifies discrimination based on evaluation and investigatory activity.
    • Develops and presents evidence of discrimination, identifies, and defines persons and classes affected by discrimination.
    • Maintains continued monitoring of contractors' programs to ensure corrective action is taken and effective nondiscriminatory employment programs are implemented.
    • Provides technical assistance to contractors to assist in their implementation of acceptable affirmative action programs.
    • Conciliates contested issues and drafts remedies for discrimination and other non-compliance issues.
    • Prepares recommendations for enforcement action.
