Corporate Giving Director identifies and assesses the causes and organizations that align with the company's values and goals and implements strategic plans to support them. Establishes and maintains relationships with nonprofit organizations and community leaders to ensure effective collaboration and support of giving initiatives. Being a Corporate Giving Director manages the budget for charitable giving, evaluates grant proposals, and monitors the impact of the company's charitable contributions. Develops employee volunteer programs to engage employees, offer participation to wider audience, and raise awareness about the organization's charitable initiatives. Additionally, Corporate Giving Director maintains current knowledge of best practices in corporate giving and philanthropy. Typically requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a director. The Corporate Giving Director typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget. To be a Corporate Giving Director typically requires 3+ years of managerial experience.     Job Title: Corporate Accountant
    Department: Finance

    Summary
    • Create and review controls needed for data accumulation and reporting systems
    • Report margins by customer / platform / product line and report out monthly
    • Report on periodic variances and their causes
    • Accumulate and apply overhead costs in accordance with GAAP (incl. Direct Labor rate analysis)
    • Prepare and initial analysis of all Corporate financial reporting (including budget and forecasts)

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned
    • Assist the Director of Financial Reporting in preparing financial budgets/forecasts (incl. coordinating with other Departments)
    • Responsible for monthly Corporate Reporting & analysis
    • Completes financial statements and supports schedules
    • Validate margins and cost of goods sold as part of month-end close - including inter-company activity
    • Review and explain causes of all major/significant manufacturing variances
    • Identify cost trends and reports finding to senior management
    • Other special accounting assignments and projects

    Education and/or Experience
    • Bachelor of Accountancy or Finance
    • CMA (Certified Managerial Accountant) or CPA (Certified Public Accountant), preferred but not required
    • 2-5 years manufacturing experience (job shop environment preferred)
    • Plex ERP system software experience helpful but necessary
    • Proficiency with Microsoft EXCEL & WORD
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

    Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
