    Location: This is not a remote role. This Food Banker will work out of our 39 Broadway office and their home office on a hybrid schedule. They will travel to donors for presentations, meetings, and events. 

    ***Salary Range $140K-$150K**

    Food Bank For New York City has a brand new role for a highly energetic and strategic front-line fundraiser. The successful candidate in this role will utilize their fundraising success to cultivate new corporate relationships to build visibility, impact, and financial resources for Food Bank For New York City. 

    The Sr. Director of Corporate Giving and Sponsorships develops, leads, and implements successful Corporate Sponsorship strategies and solicitations. This role focuses on strategic sponsorship initiatives aimed at raising funds to support the mission of Food Bank.

    The Sr. Director of Corporate Giving and Sponsorships works cross-functionally to create a pipeline for sponsorships, oversees sponsorship fulfillment, and creatively integrates sponsorships into Food Bank’s work. The successful candidate has 7 years' experience in designing, developing, and soliciting six and seven figure sponsorships for nonprofits.

    Reporting to the VP of Institutional Partnerships, the Sr. Director of Corporate Giving and Sponsorships will:

    ·Develop and implement aggressive solicitation of NEW Corporate Sponsorships and Corporate Giving Support; Develop and maintain knowledge of corporate giving interests, staff and trends

    ·Supervises and directs the creation of impactful donor solicitation and stewardship materials that drive retention and growth

    ·Key responsibilities include identifying, cultivating, and soliciting corporate partnerships, including creating proposals, overseeing the execution of sponsor activations, facilitating internal and external communications, and effectively tracking and measuring success.

    ·Oversee creation of overall corporate sponsorship strategy, budget goals and expenses.

    · Review and approve pipeline of corporate partnership prospects and assign staff as required.

    · Serve as lead sponsorship salesperson and achieve quarterly and annual sales goals in support of FBNYC’s mission.

    · Meet with sponsors to identify each company’s individual objectives, align them with Food Bank’s priorities, and determine the best strategy for achieving shared objectives.

    · Oversee sponsor relationships to determine if sponsor objectives are being met and track sponsor satisfaction levels.

    · Execute activations for top tier partners and lead the Business Partnerships Project Team to ensure successful activations across all tiers.

    · Co-Chair the Partnership Steering Committee to ensure there is no unintentional overlap and full potential of the committee is tapped.

    · Develop and monitor long-term goals to increase corporate support from Corporate Partners.

    · Preside over final negotiations on all corporate sponsorship strategy meetings.

    · Review all contracts prior to approval and signature by the CEO or her designee.

    · Report on sponsorship activities to all necessary constituents (e.g., VP, CDO, Board and/or committee chairs, departments).

    · Adjust fundraising plan as needed to respond to opportunities; collaborate closely with the direct service and external impact teams, including members, to understand programmatic funding needs and collectively fundraise toward those needs

    · Partner with the Chief Financial Officer and executive team to regularly monitor and evaluate fundraising performance, and support the development of financial projections and organizational planning

    · In partnership with Marketing and Communications and Donor Relations, prepare all sales materials and presentations. Tailor sponsorship sales materials to meet partner goals and objectives.

    · Manage communications related to sponsorships for all audiences: staff, board, volunteers, etc.

    · Lead regularly scheduled internal strategy meetings.

    · In partnership with Donor Relations, Special Events, et al, facilitate FBNYC’s annual Corporate Partner’s Summit.

    · Ensure adherence to internal guidelines/policies regarding Partners’ roles and responsibilities.

    · Supervise the Manager of Sponsorship Services.

    · Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

     

    EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION AND TRAINING QUALIFICATIONS: 

    · 7 years' experience in designing, developing, and soliciting six figure sponsorships.

    · BA or BS degree

    · Excellent knowledge of Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

    · Proficiency with Raiser's Edge (NXT)

     

    KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES: 

    · Excellent communication skills and a high level of comfort with public speaking.

    · Excellent organizational and proactive problem-solving skills.

    · Comfort with ambiguity and a sense of humor are a must.

    · Demonstrated success in managing, mentoring, and motivating people.

    · Prior sales or fundraising experience.

    · Ability to meet deadlines and work well under pressure.

    · Ability to work with flexibility, efficiency, and diplomacy both individually and as part of a complex team effort.

    · Knowledge of poverty issues (knowledge of hunger issues a strong plus).

    · Demonstrated commitment to Food Bank’s core values and mission.

    · Available for occasional weeknight and weekend hours as needed for special events.

    · Comfortable traveling to program sites across New York City as needed.
