Corporate Giving Director identifies and assesses the causes and organizations that align with the company's values and goals and implements strategic plans to support them. Establishes and maintains relationships with nonprofit organizations and community leaders to ensure effective collaboration and support of giving initiatives. Being a Corporate Giving Director manages the budget for charitable giving, evaluates grant proposals, and monitors the impact of the company's charitable contributions. Develops employee volunteer programs to engage employees, offer participation to wider audience, and raise awareness about the organization's charitable initiatives. Additionally, Corporate Giving Director maintains current knowledge of best practices in corporate giving and philanthropy. Typically requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a director. The Corporate Giving Director typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget. To be a Corporate Giving Director typically requires 3+ years of managerial experience.     About This Position

    Under the direction of the SVP Finance, this position sets the strategic direction and provides management oversight to the Revenue Cycle. The position will incorporate the strategic goals of ChristianaCare’s Executive Leadership in managing the successful operation of all Patient Access, Hospital Billing (HB), Physician Billing (PB), Single Billing Office (SBO), Accounts Receivable Operations including Customer Service, Collections & Data Analytics, and Revenue Integrity. In addition, the Corporate Director must stay abreast of and adhere to all regulatory and compliance matters as they impact the Revenue Cycle. The position will promote the organizational vitality goals of the health system and active participation in various executive and operational steer committees as required.

    Some responsibilities include....

    Management of Revenue Cycle to exceed industry standard benchmarks for Revenue Cycle Key Performance Indicators (KPIs). For example, Days in Accounts Receivable (AR), point of service (POS) collections and overall cash collections. Establish stretch goals for benchmarks to ensure improvement in outcomes.

    Position must stay abreast and ensure adherence to all regulatory and compliance matters as they relate to the Revenue Cycle. Develop appropriate solutions to issues and changes in procedures as necessitated by third party payers, regulatory agencies, medical record, utilization review, patients, physicians, and administration.

    Develops and maintains policies and procedures necessary for the successful operation of the Revenue Cycle.

    Responsible for ChristianaCare’s accounts receivable. Optimize collections and maintain key relationships with commercial and governmental payers.

    Manages accounts receivable, including establishment of appropriate reserve requirements for third party allowances and bad debts. Assures that information provided for internal and external reporting of patient receivables and allowances is accurate and useful as a tool for management analysis.

    Responsible for Financial Assistance and Charity Policy and adhering to all policies and procedures. Ensure all patient facing information is accurate and easily assessable. Ensures requirements of price transparency and other similar patient regulatory requirements are met.

    Education and experience requirements:

    • Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting, Finance Management, or a related field.
    • 8 - 10 years of experience in health care related field.
    • 5 - 6 years of experience in a progressive management position.
    • Advanced degree preferred.
    • An equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted.
