Corporate Secretary executes and maintains all required official corporate filings, documents, reports and records according to applicable laws and regulations. Responsible for shareholder relations, communicating with Board members and coordinating shareholder lists and registrations. Being a Corporate Secretary researches and responds to shareholder requests for information. Manages the coordination of Board and shareholder meetings and the preparation of all necessary agendas and documents required for the meetings. Additionally, Corporate Secretary the incumbent in this role is usually an officer of the corporation. May require a Juris Doctor degree. Typically reports to top management. The Corporate Secretary manages a departmental function within a broader corporate function. Develops major goals to support broad functional objectives. Approves policies developed within various sub-functions and departments. Comprehensive knowledge of the overall departmental function.   • Job Summary
    The Corporate Accountant performs daily accounting tasks and general ledger transactions, with strong attention to detail. The Corporate Accountant is responsible for all aspects of vendor accounts payable for Vital Care, Inc. 
    The Corporate Accountant reports to the Controller.
     
    Essential Job Functions
    • Adhere to organization policies and procedures.
    • Adhere to department standards regarding acceptable attendance, reporting to work on time, and completing work accurately and timely.
    • Maintain strict confidentiality.
    • Attend all mandatory meetings.
    Job Responsibilities
    • Carry out projects and tasks delegated by the Controller in the specified timeframe.
    • Create and enter bi-weekly payroll journal entries and month-end payroll accrual. Balance quarterly and annual Paycor reports to QuickBooks. Reconcile year-end reports and W2/W3 forms.
    • Obtain vendor W9 forms and maintain vendor records in QuickBooks.
    • Perform the processing and recording of vendor accounts payable transactions and ensure that all invoices and employee expense reimbursements are paid accurately and in accordance with company policies and procedures.
    • File annual 1099’s with vendors, IRS and State of Mississippi.
    • Review and process company credit card statements and record general ledger entry. Review and submit employee expense reports to the payroll processor.
    • Maintain company fixed asset records and file annual property tax rendition.
    • Reconcile monthly bank statements using QuickBooks software.
    • Back up the Controller and Accounting Specialist in any area as requested.
    • Assist with yearly CPA firm and third party administrator audits for Vital Care, Inc.
    • Adhere to all Vital Care policies and procedures.

    Qualifications
    • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance or Accounting required.
    • Excellent organizational skills required.
    • Excellent communication skills required.
    • Ability to prioritize and work independently.
    • Ability to use computer equipment and learn new software applications required.
    • Prior work experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook).
    • Prior work experience with accounting or other financial productivity software.
