- District Treasurer-240 day contract District Treasurer is responsible to enter new employees into the efinance system. Serve as payroll officer for all personnel; responsible for teacher retirement, social security, insurance, annuities, educational association dues, and withholding tax deductions, W2 reporting and filing and sending necessary reports for each. Responsible for personnel records for all personnel; preparing all teacher contracts, Serve as payroll officer for substitute teachers. Responsible for A/R, A/P for District funds and reconciling monthly bank statements. Responsible for preparation and filing of reimbursement forms for Child Nutrition. Assist with federal fund quarterly reports of cash distribution and end of year financial reports. Assist with fiscal year reports Prepare all financial reports for board packets. Assist in preparation of annual budget. Responsible for annual report on certificated and non-certificated staff. Responsible for payment of debt service, reconcile monthly bank statement, prepare financial reports and fiscal year end. Responsible for Statewide Informational System reporting, Cycles 1-9. Maintain AASBO and CASBO certification and attend workshops/webinars/conferences in order to keep informed on the latest changes and updates. Perform other duties as assigned by superintendent. District Employee Paid Benefits are: Vision, Dental, $15,000 Life Insurance and Hospital Indemnity. The District pays $234.50 toward the state medical insurance plan of choice. District has optional 401K & 403B plans available. One sick day a per month worked, two personal days and ten vacation days per school year. District Treasurer is on the licensed staff salary schedule first column based upon 240 days contract and years of experience in public schools. Due to the Learns act salary schedule is TBD. Salary could be between $50,000 to $70,000 depending on degree, experience in efianance and years of service in public schools. Mountain Pine is located 6 miles Northwest of Hot Springs. We have approximately 94 employees. We have payroll twice a month on or about the 5th & 20th of each month. We have a great staff and we would like to have a person that is team oriented, organized, can multi-task , friendly, helpful and a self starter. Computer knowledge is a must. We provide a laptop and access to efinance system in order to process payroll from home or offsite in case of a school closing or crises plan. Position could start earlier than July 1, 2024 in order to have time with current District Treasurer before she retires if possible. That can be negoiated. If person hired has a sick leave balance from another Arkansas Public School we can accept those days. Proof from previous school will be required.
