Being a Correctional Officer oversees prisoner conduct and safety. Supervises prisoners during meals, recreation, work and other daily activities. Responsibilities:
- Maintain security and control within the correctional facility
- Conduct regular patrols and inspections to ensure the safety of staff and inmates

- Conduct searches of inmates, cells, and common areas for contraband
- Enforce facility rules and regulations, ensuring compliance from inmates

- Operate CCTV systems to monitor inmate activities
Experience:
- Previous experience in law enforcement or a related field is preferred
- CPR and First Aid certification is required
- Strong conflict management skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to remain calm and composed in high-stress situations
- Familiarity with report writing procedures
- Knowledge of correctional policies and procedures is a plus
