· Four year accounting degree required
· Calculation and computer skills, aptitude for figures.
· Good mathematics
· High level of organizational skills; and high level of computer skills
· Health Care experience preferred.
1. Prepare and input journal entries
2. Account analysis that compares actual to budget variances.
3. Account analysis that compares month to month changes.
4. Prepare statements and reports for the Executive Board.
5. Prepare internal profit and loss statements.
6. Prepare payroll taxes for weekly payments and quarterly reporting.
7. Bank reconciliations and oversee reconciliations done by clerks.
8. Account analysis.
9. Balance sheet reconciliation.
10. Liaison with Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Payroll and Purchasing.
11. Assist in the preparation of the budget.
12. Assist in the preparation of governmental Cost Reports
13. Assist with the preparation of the corporate tax return-Form 990.
14. Maintain reports and records for Grants.
15. Maintain Fixed Assets System.
16. Prepare Insurance applications and oversee claims reporting.
17. Preparation of schedules for the year-end audit.
18. Special projects as needed.
19. Backup to Payroll and Accounts Payable as needed.
20. Perform any related duties required by management to maintain the proper functioning of the department.
21. Knowledge of computer systems.
22. Keep the in-house test system up to date.
23. Maintain confidentiality.
24. Must have above average level of communication both inter and intra department.
25. Must have excellent skills in all areas of written and oral (phone and in person) communications
26. Ability to interact with other departments on related issues
27. Ability to understand that actions and work habits have an effect on the Department
28. Awareness of facility HIPPA policy and code
29. Performs related other duties as required.
