The Staff Accountant will be responsible for supporting the financial functions of the Business Unit. Responsibilities will include maintaining and accounting for capital spending (fixed assets), intercompany accounting, and other analyses and functions, as required.

Responsible for Fixed Assets Accounting Maintain CIP sub-ledger and analyze variances vs approved amounts Place assets in service when appropriate (in both FAS and G/L) Dispose of assets when appropriate (in both FAS and G/L) Record monthly depreciation entry (in both FAS and G/L) Maintain internal (book) and tax records Prepare monthly capital spending analysis/forecast

Intercompany Accounting Key liaison at Pekin location for interco transactions throughout Winpak Record intercompany invoices and transactions, as required Reconcile interco A/R and A/P accounts monthly Perform quarterly Related Party transaction schedules Owner of Tariff-Related Activities to Support the Business Track importation of raw materials from sister company and validate incurred tariffs Submit tariff exclusion requests for base materials, as required Track imported quantity vs “exempted” qty for proactive action, when required Track tariff refunds and required corrections, as necessary Review and reconcile weekly tariff invoices from import broker

Other Miscellaneous:

Weekly entry of payroll journal entries to ERP system

Prepare month-end balance sheet reconciliation worksheets

Prepare monthly prepaid expense entries

Reconcile payroll accounts

Enter/update customer selling prices in ERP system, as needed

Assist with budgets and forecasts, as needed

Gather information for Internal Control Auditors as needed

Gather information for External Auditors as needed

Assist with period-end close, as needed

Back-up to A/P Ad-hoc analysis and reporting, as needed
