Monroe Truck Equipment is searching for a Cost Accountant that will play a critical role in maintaining stand costs and it's ongoing analysis to join our team and grow with us!
Division: Monroe Truck Equipment - Monroe, WI
Position: Cost Accountant
Shift: Monday-Friday
Status: Fulltime, Exempt
Essential Duties And Responsibilities:
- Perform month-end close inventory and variance analysis-related functions.
- Review Cycle Count program and results
- Maintain standard cost accounting system and analyze variances including labor, absorption, PPV, and MUV.
- Calculate and maintain standard labor and overhead rates
- Analyze costs incurred, cost of sales, and calculation of inventory value including reserves for excess and obsolete inventory
- Prepare various daily, weekly, and monthly management reports
- Prepare journal entries in support of the month-end close process.
- Perform and report on product margins, both existing and forward-looking
- Lead role in annual cost role & physical inventory
- Prepare account reconciliations.
Desired Education/Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
- Minimum 5-7 years of related experience in job cost analysis
- Experience with proper procedures for month-end cutoff transactions & reconciliation of sub-ledgers to General Ledger
