- Robert Half is looking for a cost accountant to join our client! This critical Cost Accountant role is responsible for the ongoing analysis of product cost, development of new product cost and margin analysis. This role will also establish customer pricing by working closely with the sales teams and senior financial management team. This position is for a talented Cost Accountant looking for a company experiencing substantial growth. If you or someone you know is interested in this Cost Accountant role, please contact Audrey Jones at 816-448-3096.How you will make an impact- Record and examine changes in goods and services, and determine the effects on cost- Analyze manufacturing costs and prepare regular reports comparing standard costs to actual production costs- Generate costs and cost-saving ideas based on analysis- Approximate costs for new and proposed products- Conduct physical inventories and monitor the cycle count program- Perform variance analysis, including Purchase Price to Cost variance, cost revaluation, Invoice to PO price variances and work order variances- Provide management with reports that specify and compare factors that affect prices and profitability of products or services- Collect data and plan projects to decide costs of business activity such as raw material purchases, inventory, and labor usage, waste- Support audits and general ledger preparation- Abide by Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) for financial statements- Generate and complete internal cost audits- Examine the data collected and log a detailed record of the results
