Cost Accountant jobs in Utica, NY

Job Responsibilities:

• Evaluate and maintain system accuracy concerning production cost, inventory, and labor variances on a regular basis.
• Conduct costing analysis for purchased and service parts, resolving any discrepancies in accounts payable.
• Support month-end closure procedures by computing accruals, posting journal entries, and making necessary system adjustments. Scrutinize account details and address any outstanding month-end tasks.
• Generate daily, weekly, and monthly reports covering various metrics such as production cost, inventory levels, expenditure, and other relevant data.
• Execute standard cost adjustments annually to ensure accurate standards.
• Coordinate inventory balance reviews and monitoring initiatives.
• Collaborate with functional managers across departments to identify areas for efficiency enhancement and provide improvement suggestions.
• Fulfill additional assigned duties as required.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $70,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
