We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Accounting Supervisor to join our team in the Engineering industry. As the Accounting Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing the financial operations of the company, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting principles and regulations. You will be working closely with the Accounting Manager and other members of the finance team to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.

Responsibilities:

• Lead the month-end close process, including preparing and reviewing journal entries, reconciliations, and financial statements
• Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, including variance analysis and budget vs. actuals
• Collaborate with the Accounting Manager to develop and manage the annual budget process
• Manage the audit process, including coordinating with external auditors and providing necessary documentation and support
• Ensure compliance with sales tax regulations, including filing returns and maintaining accurate records
• Oversee the Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable functions, ensuring timely and accurate processing of invoices and payments
• Provide guidance and training to accounting staff, ensuring adherence to accounting policies and procedures
• Work closely with cross-functional teams to support business initiatives and provide financial insights and analysis
• Maintain and enhance the ERP system, ensuring accurate and timely data entry and reporting
• Other duties as assigned by the Accounting Manager

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required; Master's degree in Accounting preferred
• CPA certification preferred but not required
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a supervisory role in an accounting function
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP and accounting principles
• Experience with month-end close, financial reporting, budgeting, and audit
• Knowledge of sales tax regulations and compliance requirements
• Proficient in ERP systems and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
