Accounting Supervisor - Fountain Valley, CATwining Holdings, an innovative engineering, testing and inspection company is seeking an Accounting Supervisor to join our team in Fountain Valley. We are looking for a strong leader with demonstrated experience in accounting processes and supervisory duties. This position will involve monthly billing, collections and other accounting processes, coordination and support for project managers, and supervision of the project administration team.Job Duties
- The ideal candidate will have strong oral and written communication skills, be detail orientated and the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
- Generate pre-billing reports and will work closely with Project Managers through the review process to ensure accurate monthly billing.
- Process monthly invoices with accuracy and a focus on capturing billable revenues.
- Editing, coding, and verifying billable items to ensure proper reporting of project costs and revenues.
- Maintain proper billing records, archiving, and promoting good record-keeping practices.
- Interact with clients in providing necessary billing documents and resolutions on billing discrepancies.
- Identify clients’ billing needs and proposing strategies to promote continuous improvement in the collections and billing process.
- Generate billing reports and assist in the analysis of revenue data.
- Prepare and monitoring project over-budget reports.
- Work with the Project Manager to research disputed account balances and solve problems to achieve satisfactory and timely resolution.
- Performs accounts receivable duties including by not limited to timely follow-up communications with respect to client’s outstanding invoices.
- Coordination with sales staff to acquire all necessary project setup documents and to ensure accurate project setup.
- Administrative support to Project Managers including scheduling, preparing business correspondence, fielding phone calls and managing paper flow and timelines as appropriate.
- Assistance with other accounting-related projects.
- Learn other areas of accounting for cross-training in order to provide back-up support.
- Supervise accounting and administrative staff members with focus to improve employee productivity while providing constructive and timely feedback and guidance to ensure company standards and deadlines are achieved.
- Onsite supervision of office needs to include but not be limited to; office supplies, building maintenance requests, janitorial, and IT request for onsite needs.
Qualifications:- Minimum of 5 years accounting and 2 years supervisory experience.
- Ability to work in the office with accounting and operational team members.
- General report-writing/generating skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in related field; experience considered in lieu of degree.
- Intermediate to proficient skills in MS Excel, Word, and general accounting software programs.
- Previous experience working with Deltek Vision software is a plus.
