Cost Analyst jobs in Bloomington, IN

We are looking for a Cost Engineer to join our awesome Global Manufacturing and Sourcing Team to ensure we continue to deliver on our promise of providing world class pizza ovens and accessories. This is a newly created role focused on sourcing the right components and materials for our products at the right price from our global suppliers. By using your knowledge of the manufacturing and Engineering processes, you'll be able to expertly estimate our costs and identify opportunities for both savings and process improvements along the way.

The role will be based at our Ooni Park office in Broxburn where you'll be expected to work from at least 3 days per week. You'll report into our Head of Global Sourcing and work closely with both our Manufacturing & Sourcing and Product teams. What you’ll do:

• Estimate part and process costs for new products to complete BOM
• Maintain our database of existing costs to reference for future costs
• Identify cost saving opportunities from both suppliers & materials
• Propose design changes could be used optimise the finished product cost
• Analyse & report on quotes from suppliers as part of our sourcing activities

What you’ll need:

• Previous knowledge of cost engineering. Ideally in a similar industry/market segment
• Knowledge of engineering / manufacturing processes
• Knowledge of materials and forming costs associated with Ooni’s products (especially steel forming and fabrication)
• Excellent communication & collaboration skills working across different regions and cultures
• The ability to present data in clear and concise way
• Strong analytical skills
• A degree in an engineering/science discipline or equivalent relevant experience
