Cost Engineer - Construction develops and implements cost control procedures, documents, and tools to support and enhance project budget management. Collects and coordinates procurement and other cost information used to develop cost forecasting, cost control strategies, and project risk analysis. Being a Cost Engineer - Construction performs data analysis to identify project trends and budget deviations and highlight cost underruns and overruns. Has extensive technical knowledge of processes and materials specific to the type of project. Additionally, Cost Engineer - Construction experienced with the cost-estimating methods best suited to the nature of the project. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Cost Engineer - Construction work is closely managed. Works on projects/matters of limited complexity in a support role. JOB DESCRIPTION
Skiltrek is looking for a Project Control Engineer to work for an industry-leading international renewable energy company. This individual will be on the operations service team and will be working on multiple internal projects at a time. You will be overseeing the entire project from the proposal stage to the final execution stage while working alongside estimators and the project team. You will be responsible for developing and maintaining project costs and budgets as well as tracking and reporting project performance throughout the entire project. This opportunity with be onsite Monday to Thursday in Irvine, CA with Friday being a flexible work-from-home day.
REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
7 years of experience in project control or cost management
Ability to systematically manage project scope, schedule, budget and quality
Analytical and data analysis skills
Capability to identify and mitigate project cost and schedule risks
Proficiency in using scheduling, resource management, and document management systems
Experience working on projects from the proposal to the execution
Monitoring skills to track progress and identify issues
EPC, oil/gas, or solar experience
Strong Excel experience - proficiency in MS office tools (Excel, Word, PPT)
Bachelor's degree in a related field
NICE TO HAVE SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
Bilingual - Korean/ English
Experience working for a PMC company
Solar experience
