Collects data and analyzes all project costs, including raw materials, labor, equipment and tooling to ensure estimates are accurate. Being a Cost Estimation Engineer identifies and quantifies potential cost uncertainties to ensure costing models capture the full range of potential costs. Updates costs as necessary based on new information and project scope changes. Additionally, Cost Estimation Engineer coordinates with project management, engineering, procurement and other project stakeholders. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager. The Cost Estimation Engineer work is closely managed. Works on projects/matters of limited complexity in a support role. Turner & Townsend seeks an experienced Project Controls consultant with a strong cost background to work in a client facing role with one of our high-profile Oil and gas clients. The role is to provide Cost Engineering services across multiple projects as part of the client’s shared service team. With a specific focus on analyzing cost data in order to identify project risks and opportunities, this role will positively influence the outcome of our clients’ projects/events.
