Collects data and analyzes all project costs, including raw materials, labor, equipment and tooling to ensure estimates are accurate. Being a Cost Estimation Engineer identifies and quantifies potential cost uncertainties to ensure costing models capture the full range of potential costs. Updates costs as necessary based on new information and project scope changes. Additionally, Cost Estimation Engineer coordinates with project management, engineering, procurement and other project stakeholders. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager. Estimation Engineer - Kapco Grafton, WI
As an Estimation Engineer for Kapco, you will analyze blueprints, specification, proposals, and other documentation to prepare time, cost and labor estimates for production, projects or services. The ideal candidate for this position should have manufacturing engineering knowledge of sheet metal/metal stamping and welding. Has experience in high volume manufacturing operations, including assembly techniques, process control and materials. Knowledge of manufacturing productions and material control software systems is preferred. This candidate should possess an advanced degree in manufacturing engineering, business or similar discipline. In lieu of a degree, 1 to 3 years of experience estimating or managing in manufacturing is acceptable.
