Parts Counter Clerk

The successful applicant will issue parts and accessories to mechanics, selling retail to customers and ordering parts and accessories, as requested.

Job Responsibilities

· Order parts not stocked from factory from other dealerships and parts supplies

· Cost parts on all repair orders

· Write purchase orders for parts and sublet work

· Keep a record of all special parts orders and notify the person who authorized the order when the part arrives

· Ensure that all defective parts on factory claim repair work are turned in by Service and Body Shop

· Take telephone orders for parts and accessories

· Assist walk-in customers with parts and accessories orders

· Maintain a clean work area

· Assist Parts Manager in protecting parts and accessories against theft and unnecessary losses

· Check all orders for parts and accessories to insure they are filled accurately to avoid obsolescence

· Other tasks and responsibilities, as assigned by management

Requirements

Preferred

· Previous Parts Counter experience

· Previous CDK experience

· 2 years customer service experience

Required

· Valid Driver’s License

· High school diploma or equivalent

· Clear and concise communication with employees, vendors, and customers

· Ability to organize and multi-task

· Strong aptitude and problem-solving skills

· Reliable and predictable attendance is required
