    Cascade Community Healthcare (CCH) has been providing treatment services to Lewis County and surrounding areas for more than 50 years. Our mission is to provide our clients with compassionate and encouraging counseling leading to a renewed sense of hope and the ability to make positive changes and live more satisfying lives. Cascade currently has six treatment locations in Lewis County. 

     

    We are looking for a Court Mental Health Professional (MHP) to join our team. The Court Mental Health Professional (MHP) is a practicing clinician who is responsible for ensuring effective and timely communication between our clients, their legal representatives, and the courts.


    The Court MHP is self-motivated, conscious of self-care, compassionate, and possesses the ability to perform with decorum and positivity in situations involving high levels of stress and crisis including court testimony. The MHP will work and collaborate with interdisciplinary team members, family/friends of clients and outside agencies for the benefit of the clients. Conversations often include information of a confidential nature, so care must be taken to prevent inappropriate disclosure of client treatment information.

     

    The Court MHP must be an effective advocate able to concisely explain verbally and in writing to judges/commissioners why the defendant would or would not need to continue to be treated at the Evaluation and Treatment Center on an involuntary basis.

     

    SHIFTS AVAILABLE:

    Day Shift: Monday - Friday


    PAY SCALE:

    Licensed: $35.60 - $43.40 Hourly. DOE.

    Associate License or LAAC: $33.60 - $40.96 Hourly. DOE. 


    WHAT YOU NEED TO GET THE JOB DONE:

    • Master’s Degree in counseling or the social sciences required.
    • Must be Licensed (LMHC, LMFT, LICSW) or have Associate License credential (LMHCA, LMFTA, or LICSWA), or Licensed Agency Affiliated Counselor (LAAC) credential or eligible to obtain LAAC; LAAC also requires two years of supervised experience.
    • Must be able to pass WA State Patrol background check, a national background check will also be required if have not lived in WA State consecutively the last three years.
    • Must demonstrate the ability to work as part of a team.
    • Must be able to represent the agency in a positive and professional manner.
    • Must be able to communicate clearly, both verbally and in writing.
    • Must comply with agency policies and procedures.
    • Must have a valid driver's license.
    • Must be able to operate a motor vehicle.
    • Must maintain current contact information and mailing address with Human Resources.

     

    WHAT YOU'LL DO:

    • Understanding of court-ordered treatment under the Involuntary Treatment Act (Chapter 71.05 RCW).
    • Coordinates with treatment team to obtain optimal treatment plan for each client.
    • Collaborates with Defense Attorneys and the prosecutor’s office to coordinate court procedures.
    • Writes petitions, affidavits, and Least Restrictive Alternative’s (LRA’s) for assigned clients.
    • Filing court documents in a timely manner, meeting all deadlines as directed by the court as required.
    • Provide court testimony based on written petitions.
    • Meet with assigned clients daily according to work schedule and complete all clinical documentation of the meeting daily.
    • Assess clients for readiness to discharge.
    • Attend Clinical Assessment Team (CAT) Meetings.
    • Maintains records and reports in accordance with agency policies and procedures.
    • Participates in supervision, consultation, and training at the direction of the Inpatient Services Manager.
    • Other services and activities as directed by Clinical Manager of Inpatient Services or the Chief of Inpatient Services.
    • Ensure that ethical and professional standards of practice are maintained.
    • Must complete Management of Aggressive Behavior (MOAB) training at time of hire and annually thereafter.
