Crane Operator operates a crane to lift, move, load, unload, or position heavy materials or equipment. Being a Crane Operator communicates via hand or radio signals to receive or convey instructions. Identifies and addresses potential hazards and adheres to all safety protocols. Additionally, Crane Operator maintains documentation of activities including time logs and inspection reports to ensure compliance with regulations and operating procedures. Typically requires a high school diploma. May require NCCCO Certification. May require State License. Typically reports to a supervisor. The Crane Operator works under moderate supervision.     Job Overview: As a Maintenance Tech at Anderson Crane, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing machinery and equipment used in our metal fabrication processes. Your role is crucial in minimizing downtime, ensuring safety, and supporting the overall efficiency of our operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical aptitude, experience with industrial equipment, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on metal fabrication machinery, including CNC machines, welders, presses, and other equipment.
    • Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues to ensure optimal equipment performance.
    • Conduct regular inspections of machinery to identify potential issues and perform preventative maintenance.
    • Coordinate with production staff to schedule maintenance activities with minimal disruption to operations.
    • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and parts used.
    • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
    • Assist in the installation and setup of new equipment as needed.
    • Collaborate with vendors and service providers for specialized repairs and maintenance.
    • Respond promptly to emergency breakdowns and repair requests.

    Qualifications:

    • High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or training in industrial maintenance is a plus.
    • Proven experience as a maintenance technician or similar role in a manufacturing or metal fabrication environment.
    • Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
    • Familiarity with industrial equipment, including CNC machines, lasers, welding equipment, and hydraulic systems.
    • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics.
    • Good understanding of safety procedures and regulations.
    • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
    • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
    • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
    • Some computer skills, ability to use cloud-based PM software.

    Physical Requirements:

    • Ability to lift and carry heavy equipment and tools.
    • Prolonged periods of standing, bending, and kneeling.
    • Manual dexterity and coordination.
