Position Title: Assistant Director of Creative Video

Responsibilities:
The University of
Louisiana at Lafayette Athletics Department is seeking a qualified Assistant
Director of Creative Video. This position will report directly to the Assistant
Athletic Director of Creative Video. The Assistant Director of Creative Video
will develop, film, produce, and create progressive video, graphic, and
animated motion projects to highlight and feature Ragin’ Cajuns Athletics in a
prominent manner to the general public via the department’s digital and social
media channels, official website, and in-venue video displays.
Job Duties Include:
- Work to advance the
brand of 16 nationally recognized sports programs and provide organizational
content using original and creative design concepts.
- Collaborate with staff from throughout the Department of Athletics will be
required to develop, maintain, and grow the Ragin’ Cajuns’ visual identity,
including influencing advertising and marketing efforts, facility enhancements,
ticket sales, and other promotional materials, as needed.
- Create content to be deployed in local, regional and national television, as
well as in targeted materials for prospective student-athletes during the
recruiting process.
- Plan and produce content tailored to be delivered in both daily and weekly
intervals to the general public, as well as partner with staff from the
Department of Athletics’ communications, digital strategy, creative video,
creative media, broadcast operations, and marketing staff, when necessary, on
large-scale projects that will impact strategic initiatives and objectives for
the entire department.
- Contribute to supervision of student interns assigned to creative video
projects.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Required Qualifications:
-Bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited institution.
- One year of working in sports video production, including creative
storytelling experience; strong knowledge of filming, photography, editing,
color grading, audio mixing, and production
- One year of experience with Adobe Creative Suite, Adobe Premiere, Adobe
Photoshop, and Adobe After Effects finalization
Preferred Qualifications:
- Demonstrated skill in social media content generation, skill in interpersonal
communication, collaboration and prioritization of work assignments
- One year of experience working in athletics at a college/university or
comparable
- Experience in working with deadlines and turning around of high-quality
projects from point of inception to finalization of production on a day-to-day
basis
-Exhibit excellent written and verbal communication, organizational, public
relations, interpersonal, customer service, and supervisory skills when working
with student-athletes, faculty, staff, coaches, and administration.
- Ability to multi-task and work cooperatively with others; commitment to
working with multi-cultural populations.
- Have strong work ethic and be a person of high integrity and character who
shares a commitment for knowing and complying with NCAA, Conference, and
Institutional rules as they apply to the University of Louisiana at Lafayette
Athletics program.
