We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Human Resource Manager to oversee all aspects of human resources at Alianza Family Services. In this position, you will ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations, foster a positive and inclusive work environment, and collaborate with leadership to align HR practices with our organizational goals.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in HR management, excellent communication skills, and a passion for supporting employees in a healthcare or social services setting. The primary function of this role is to plan, lead, direct, develop, and coordinate the policies, activities, and staff of the Human Resource (HR) department. You will be responsible for ensuring legal compliance and implementing the organization's mission and talent strategy.
Performance Measures: A successful Human Resources Manager will produce positive outcomes in the following areas: recruiting, selection, hiring, onboarding, employee relations, payroll administration, benefits, compensation, time off and leave policies, policies and procedures, and legal compliance.

Key Responsibilities:
- Recruiting, Selection, and Hiring: Recruits, interviews, and facilitates the hiring of qualified candidates for open positions. Collaborates with departmental managers to understand required skills and competencies and develops job descriptions for these openings.

Onboarding: Conducts onboarding and orientation sessions, and follows up with managers and employees at regular intervals to check on employee progress.

Employee Relations: Advises managers on employee relations issues. In collaboration with managers, provides counsel and support to employees regarding adherence to company policies. Addresses disciplinary matters, performance improvement plans, disputes, and investigations.

Employee Handbook: Updates and maintains the Employee Handbook, communicating all changes to employees.

Policies and Procedures: Collaborates with management to update and maintain consistent policies and procedures.

Payroll Administration: Processes biweekly payroll for the organization.

HRIS System: Updates and maintains the organization’s Human Resources Information System (HRIS).

Benefits Administration: Manages employee benefits programs, including insurance coverage, time off, and leave. Recommends plan design changes during annual open enrollment or as needed due to regulatory changes.

Compensation Administration: Oversees the compensation policy and updates and maintains compensation analysis.

Legal Compliance: Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, as well as recommended best practices. Regularly reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.

Professional Development: Stays informed about trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.

Minimum of 3-5 years of HR management experience, preferably in a healthcare, social services, or related field.

Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local employment laws, benefits administration, and employee relations practices.

Proven experience in recruitment, employee development, performance management, and conflict resolution.

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships across all levels of the organization.

High degree of professionalism and discretion in handling sensitive and confidential information.

Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment.

Bilingual (English and Spanish) a plus.
Compensation & Benefits:
- Salary: $65,000 - $75,000 per year

Schedule: Monday to Friday, with occasional on-call availability.
Work Location:
This is an in-person position based in Albuquerque, NM. Candidates must be able to reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting the role.
