  • A Store Manager is responsible for establishing and maintaining customer service, oversees and is accountable for the operation of a store ensuring maximum sales and profitability through merchandise, inventory, expense control, employee relations and managing operating costs and shrinkage.

    Flexibility to accommodate sudden schedule changes and availability to be on call 24 hours a day, if an
    emergency arises.

    Ability to work with and motivate employees to achieve the best buying experience and business climate for
    our customers and our employees.
    Be able to work effectively in the general physical environment or surroundings under which the job must be
    performed.
    Be able to meet the physical demands such as walking, stopping, lifting, handling boxes, talking, seeing, etc.
    including the amount of physical effort to perform each task as well as the length of time during which the effort
    must expend both in duration and frequency.
    College preferred, or experience in retail and management.

    RESPONSIBILITIES
    Ensure that each customer receives outstanding service by providing a customer friendly environment which includes greeting and acknowledging every customer, maintaining company standards, solid product knowledge and all other components of customer service.
    Analyze and measure business trends, develop and implement plans to maximize sales and meet or exceed goals and objectives.
    Recruit, train and develop store personnel in all aspects of the business, direct and monitor training and development
    For all store personnel. Continually evaluate and react to performance issues.
    Ensures all employees are trained using the prescribed materials, tools and processes as well as encourage staff to develop additional skills.
    Communicates with store staff regarding new item information, processes and other information related to the store
    Practice and implement all safe and clean initiatives.
    Complete daily and monthly paperwork and computer requirements in order to ensure compliance with company
    standards and protection of its assets.
    Responsible for appearance, sanitation, credit card and check cashing procedures, night checks, promotions, etc.
    Perform administrative duties necessary to ensure effective operations. Develop strategies to achieve performance measures, control shrink, labor expenses, budgets, product knowledge and merchandise techniques, suggestive selling and vendor relations.
    Stay abreast of competitive marketing conditions/trends and advise supervisor through oral and written reports, i.e. competitor surveys and competitor benchmarking to ensure achievement of Petr-All marketing policies.
    Handle customer complaints fast and effectively to ensure that we provide all of our customers with the best buying experience.
    Review department/store trends and recommend and initiate changes for maximizing goals and objectives.
    Ensure that the store image is consistent with the company's standards and reputation for cleanliness.
    Maintenance: Provide routine preventive maintenance to keep all equipment operating at maximum efficiency.
    Ensure that all pricing procedures and guidelines are correct as listed in the pricebooks for all merchandise.
    Performs other duties as assigned by Management.
    Train all employees on the basic OSHA rules and procedures. Review all Safety Training Checklists with current
    employees and all New Hires to ensure Health and Safety responsibilities are understood and committed to.
