    • Position Summary
    • The Credentialing Assistant performs a variety of administrative and clerical functions for the MaineHealth CVO.  Incumbents in the role provide administrative and credentialing support including answering incoming calls, preparing and responding to correspondence, sending credentialing applications, and performing other tasks as assigned. This role requires strong communication and organizational skills and the ability to multi-task. Strong computer skills to include Word & Excel is required.

    • Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)
      • Education: High school diploma or GED preferred. Associates degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience is preferred.
      • License/Certifications: Certified Provider Credentialing Specialist (CPCS) preferred.
      • Experience: At least one year of office experience including data entry, typing and computer proficiency.
      • Strong work ethic and self-starter, able to effectively manage multiple priorities and adapt to change within a fast-paced environment.
      • Must be detail-oriented and have critical thinking skills.
      • Experience with credentialing and/or healthcare operations is a plus.
