Credit and Collections Director leads the overall credit function. Designs and implements processes to improve cash flow and reduce receivables. Being a Credit and Collections Director develops policies regarding the investigation of customers, extension of credit lines, and collections. Consults with current and future clients regarding their level of credit. Additionally, Credit and Collections Director oversees the negotiation and course of action taken for overdue accounts. Typically requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to top management. The Credit and Collections Director manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure. Deep knowledge of the managed sub-function and solid knowledge of the overall departmental function. To be a Credit and Collections Director typically requires 5+ years of managerial experience.     What Will You Do?

    Under the direction of the Human Resource Generalist, the Receptionist/Human Resources Assistant will provide support to the company and technical assistance for the Human Resources Department in accordance with company policies and procedures. Typical responsibilities include but are not limited to greeting guests, managing incoming calls, maintaining office supplies, assisting with recruiting and other HR administrative tasks, and supporting the production team in miscellaneous tasks, projects, and events.

    NOTE: This position does not qualify for visa sponsorship.

    JOB SUMMARY:

    Under the directions of the Controller, the Credit & Collections Analyst will investigate the credit status of prospective, new, and present customers. The Credit & Collections Analyst will establish and process such ratings as to credit to conform to the company’s credit policy while maintaining customer data and implementing collection procedures and preparing status reports.

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Analyze credit data and references for customers to identify the degree of risk involved in extending credit and setting payment terms
    • Update credit holds daily for production and shipping departments
    • Actively pursue collections on all past dues and lien waiver filings
    • Perform reporting activities according to specific deadlines such as aging reports to customers, as well as additional customer required reporting
    • Propose and generate AR adjustments as needed
    • Communicate and resolve issues cross-functionally with customers, Regional Sales Managers, Sales Rep’s, and internal departments
    • Facilitate credit card customer payments for parts orders
    • Investigate and resolve credit and collections issues and errors
    • Identify opportunities for improving business processes, enhancing cash flow and reducing costs

    REQUIREMENTS FOR EFFECTIVE PERFORMANCE:

    • Bachelor’s degree in accounting WITH one to three years of progressively responsible related experience OR equivalent combination of both.

    SKILLS/ABILITIES/SPECIFICATIONS

    • Ability to comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to effectively communicate one-on-one and in group settings with customers as well as other employees within the organization.
    • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Must have sound judgment in making non-routine choices within established guidelines with minimal supervision.
