Credit and Collections Supervisor is responsible for the activities and operations in the credit and collections department. Oversees the processing and verification of applications for credit and the solicitation for payment on overdue accounts. Being a Credit and Collections Supervisor investigates credit issues and suggests payment options to be approved. Ensures collectors follow all protocols, laws and regulations to collect payments efficiently. Additionally, Credit and Collections Supervisor may require a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager. The Credit and Collections Supervisor supervises a small group of para-professional staff in an organization characterized by highly transactional or repetitive processes. Contributes to the development of processes and procedures. Thorough knowledge of functional area under supervision. As a Member Service Specialist Supervisor, you will help our branch run smoothly by assisting the Branch Manager, overseeing the work of the Member Service Specialist team, and maintaining a focus on the needs of our Credit Union members.

    Responsibilities

    This role presents Professional Growth Opportunities, including opportunities for you to:

    • Learn about branch management from your Branch Manager.
    • Act as Branch Manager in the absence of your Branch Manager and Assistant Branch Manager.
    • Become a Branch Manager by continually focusing on self-development, learning, and training.

     

    To assist in the Management of the Member Service Specialist Team, you will be responsible for:

    • Recruiting, hiring, onboarding, mentoring, and training new team members.
    • Providing enthusiastic and motivational training in the areas of member service, teamwork and cooperation, positional growth and excellence, etc.
    • Prioritizing to allow 15 hours per week for coaching.
    • Directly supervising four to twelve team members.
    • Developing and growing your branch through business development activities.
    • Completing performance documentation to meet the needs of each position.

     

    Your responsibilities to Credit Union Members will include:

    • Keeping your Branch Manager informed of member needs or desires regarding products, services, and suggestions.
    • Taking ownership of and resolving member escalations.
    • Discovering innovative ways to market Credit Union services to the public.
    • Volunteering at Service Organizations.

     

    Your responsibilities for the Organization of the Branch will include:

    • Ensuring accurate balancing of individual team member cash drawers.
    • Coordinating scheduling for the Member Service Specialist staff.
    • Maintaining a focus on meetings standards and goals in the branch.
    • Monitoring branch “daily duty checklist” to ensure all operational tasks are completed promptly and accurately, and that the branch always remains in compliance.
    • Managing the upkeep and maintenance of the physical facility.

     

    Qualifications

    Before you apply, make sure you have:

    • A Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience.
    • Signature Guarantee/Medallion Stamp Certification, Notary Public.

     

    Also, please let us know in your application if you have:

    • Experience in a branch environment.

     

    This role will also require some physical abilities including the ability to sit or stand for extended periods of time, lift 20-40 pounds of office supplies, reach keyboards, and operate basic office machines.
