    ROLE:

    The Financial Needs Analyst meets with team members to understand their personal financial strategies and struggles and determine what they are looking for in order to live within their means while still working towards their financial goals. The Credit Union believes if our team members are looking for types of financial services or assistance, then our members are searching for them as well. We are looking for a facilitator who is experienced at engaging individuals or families, enjoys outreach, can create effective relationships and draw logical conclusions based on a myriad of information gathered along with recommendations for next steps in product offerings.


    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • You are responsible for setting meetings with team members, individually and in groups, to obtain relevant information about their financial goals and struggles, along with their family dynamics such as age, living arrangements, children, family care, etc.
    • Experience and demonstrate ability to successfully work within a diverse cultural setting.
    • Able to represent and articulate questions to focus groups in a professional manner.
    • Collaborating with key stakeholders, including executive management team, to review and create participant lists, form and schedule focus groups, facilitate meetings and take notes, work with subject-matter experts to review meeting notes, assist in system requirement developments, and regroup with participants about offerings.
    • Provide stakeholders with recommendations for new products or upgrades to current offerings based on analyses and reports.
    • Provide a comfortable, relaxed atmosphere in order to hold meetings.
    • Ensure information gathered from our employees or members is kept confidential.
    • Specifying and overseeing the research needed to determine the needs and desires of employees/members by becoming familiar with CUs products as well as product offerings from other FIs.
    • Must be able to work early, during lunch times or stay after work in order to meet team members at times that work for them and travel to branches throughout the Credit Union’s footprint.
    • Must have strong interpersonal communication skills.
    • Experience drafting questionnaires, surveys, polls and analytical working techniques. Strong aptitude and desire for learning new platforms.
    • Responsible for aggregating data and providing detailed and summary reports based on the information obtained.

    KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

    Experience: Six to twelve months of similar or related experience.

    Education: Bachelor’s degree in psychology, sociology, marketing research, marketing or related field.

    Interpersonal Skills: Must be a people person, someone who can ask questions and listen to answers. Need to be able to determine what information is important in order to share with others and create a plan for execution upon approval. Needs to know how to meet staff where they are, make conversations meaningful, personal and appropriate to the task. Must be able to use logic to evaluate conversations and make recommendations.


    Other Skills:

    • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint
    • Excellent telephone etiquette
    • Valid driver’s license
    • Ability to comprehend the sophisticated concepts of personal financial planning.
    • Ability to portray a professional image on behalf of the credit union.
    • Ability to work with little or no supervision.
    • Ability to create and to present graphical interpretations of research results.
    • Ability to effectively write correspondence.
    • Must be able to evaluate and analyze data, understand surveys and survey results as well as develop resources.
    • Must be reliable, on time, and interested in helping others along with gathering information.
