If you are interested in joining our team, the Bureau of Standardbred Horse Racing, under the Department of Agriculture, welcomes your application!


    DESCRIPTION OF WORK

    As a Field Investigator at Presque Isle Downs Racetrack, you will be responsible for the administration and issuance of occupational and participation licenses. You will also enforce the rules and regulations of horse racing under the guidelines of the Pennsylvania Horse Racing Commission. This will involve conducting thorough research on licensees' identities, reviewing license applications for accuracy and completeness, examining license classifications, collecting necessary fees, and investigating the criminal history of applicants to determine their eligibility for a license.

    Work Schedule and Additional Information:
    • Temporary Full-time employment
    • Work hours are 8:00 am to 4:00 pm, Monday - Friday, with 30-minute lunch.
    • Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

    REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

    QUALIFICATIONS
    Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
    • Three years of experience in public contact work, including two years of experience in field investigation or law enforcement work; or
    • Any equivalent combination of experience and training.

    Post Employment Requirement:
    • A Commission Employee License is required for this position or will be obtained once hired.

    Additional Requirements:
    • You must be able to perform essential job functions.
