PAY: $17-$19/hourly

ABOUT THE JOB:

The Harbor Operations Assistant is responsible for the day-to-day operation, Fuel dock operations, dock and parking lot audits, providing outstanding customer service, maintenance, repairs, and coordination of boating-related facilities, activities, and equipment, as well as special projects as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS:

·        Perform daily inspections of all docks, buildings, tenant and guest vessel, parking lots, parks, and other common areas.

·        Assists in the coordination of guest boater activities, docking, securing of vessels, collection of possible fees, and tariffs payable to the port, set up and operation of special events, and port security functions as needed.

·        Performs Fuel Dock operations instructing boaters in proper fueling methods, dispensing of fuel products, and collecting payments when assigned.

·        Assist with dock maintenance and property maintenance as directed.

·        Perform general cleaning and maintenance activities to a variety of port facilities.

·        Enforce Port rules, regulations, best management practices, and tariff provisions.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

·        Basic computer skills

·        Basic office equipment knowledge including 10-key, multiple phone line system, fax machine, printer, and copy machine

·        Oral and written communication skills

·        Analytical ability, takes initiative, ability to problem solve and to promote the Port’s image.
