Job Objective: Perform a variety of strategic engineering work to analyze, evaluate, and improve manufacturing operations and processes in a regional or global theater. Understand internal and external customer requirements to align work product minimizing waste, operational cost, and risk, while maximizing efficiency through strategic execution and ultimately driving customer satisfaction.
Essential Job Functions:Utilize appropriate statistical and/or data analysis tools within a structured problem solving approach to characterize and improve existing operations or translate customer requirements into repeatable and capable manufacturing processes.
Plan, execute, and analyze multi-phase validations or scenarios to determine if new equipment, processes, or tooling meet functional performance requirements and/or metrics.
Initiate, develop, and maintain Charters and Implementation Plans (includes establishing project scope, anticipated gains, required resources, timelines, etc.)
Act as Engineering liaison to various groups, participate on analysis/design/project review teams. Develop product and equipment specifications to ensure resulting processes are manufacturing capable.
Support transfer of project solutions, new processes or products to on-going operations, through operator training and development of standard operating procedures, where applicable.
Establish and implement control plans to ensure project gains and improvements are realized and maintained over time.
Understands and contributes to the development and execution of the Operational Strategy that in turn drives Operational Excellence Regionally and Globally.
