    JOB TITLE: LOAN OPERATIONS INTERN

    REPORTS TO: ASSISTANT VICE PRESIDENT LOAN OPERATIONS

    PRIMARY FUNCTION:
    The Loan Operations Intern exists to assist with the processing and tracking of required title work as well as general loan file maintenance and data changes. This position is responsible for processing various servicing functions of credit union loans which include Total Loss claims and GAP claims. Assist Member Solutions department with administrative duties and filing of documents.

    PRINCIPAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
    1. Process title work and perfect and release liens. Includes tracking, noting and reporting all paper and electronic titles.
    2. Perform basic loan file maintenance and change system loan data when needed.
    3. Work various reports to ensure Consumer Loan Servicing procedures are being followed.
    4. Assist Member Solutions with filing and various administrative duties.
    5. Complete all assignments outlined in the internship syllabus.
    6. Actively and thoughtfully communicating with their supervisor, planning their goals and development, taking accountability for their actions and striving for excellence.

    9. Maintain clean and professional work area and appearance.
    10. Maintain positive public relations and promote credit union within the community.
    11. Complete educational programs as required.

    c. Answer the telephone by the third ring.
    d. Call people by name and thank them.

    g. Deliver on commitments of action(s) to be taken, so excuses won't be necessary.
    h. Follow through on necessary action(s) to be sure the problem is solved.
    i. Know that what's important is not only who or what created the problem but how the problem can be corrected.
    j. Protect confidential information.
    13. Other duties as assigned.

    REQUIREMENTS OF THE POSITION:
    Currently enrolled in an accredited college or university.
    High School diploma or equivalent.
    Excellent communication and organizational skills.
    Professional, pleasant, and outgoing personality.
    Ability to perform under pressure.
    Problem solving ability.
    Proficient in Word and Excel.
    Excellent analytical skills.

    Decision-making skills.

    PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
    Sedentary work Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time. Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required only occasionally and all other sedentary criteria are met.

    PHYSICAL ACTIVITIES:

    HUMAN RELATIONS SKILLS NEEDED:
    The ability to communicate effectively with members, staff, and contacts outside of the credit union in a polite, courteous, timely, accurate and efficient manner. Patience in dealing with a difficult situation.

    INTERNAL TRAINING REQUIREMENTS:
    Interns will be expected to complete the courses required of all new employees during orientation.
