Credit Clerk evaluates and suggests creditworthiness of prospects and customers to decrease financial risk to the organization. Checks credit applications and grants approval within established guidelines for organizations or individuals. Being a Credit Clerk communicates with the customers and other departments to solve the credit problems. May negotiate terms of payment to assist with collection of overdue balances. Additionally, Credit Clerk requires a high school diploma or its equivalent. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Credit Clerk possesses a moderate understanding of general aspects of the job. Works under the close direction of senior personnel in the functional area. - Monitors all branch activities to insure they are in compliance with established credit union policies and procedures.
- Serves as Membership Officer.
- Serves on projects to provide branch perspective and assist with user acceptance testing.
- Assist with writing and revising procedures.
- Serve on the branch opening team to help establish new locations.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
EXPERIENCE: Three years to five years of similar or related experience.
