Job Purpose:
The primary role of the Credit Analyst is to provide administrative loan support for Commercial/Ag Lenders. In addition, this position will provide financial services to Commercial/Ag/Consumer clients. This position will perform assigned duties in accordance with Midstates Bank's Core Values and will adhere to Quality Service Standards.
Essential Functions:
Prepare financial analysis through Web Equity software program on Ag/Commercial clients and make recommendations to lenders. This will include preparing credit memorandum write-ups on loan credits to be presented to loan committees.
Have a full understanding of the Loan Policy and prepare credit memorandum write-ups in accordance with Loan Policy.
Provide financial services to Ag/Commercial clients with lending authority determined by Branch Manager. Advising clients, where possible, concerning business management and financial matters.
Support of business development efforts including joint sales calls with loan officers.
Support collection efforts on trouble loans including inspections of properties, client consultations, loan modifications, etc.
Assist Loan Administrator performing their function when necessary to ensure files are complete, documentation is accurate, and loan closing happen as scheduled.
Participate in civic activities to promote growth and development of the community and a positive image for the bank.
Other duties as assigned.
Skills/Qualifications:
Strong communication and analytical skills; strong computer skills including Web Equity, spreadsheets and word processing; good interpersonal skills and team orientation.
Education:
2-Year College Degree in Business Administration or related discipline or equivalent combination of course work and work experience.
Experience:
Accounting or bookkeeping experience in formation of financial statements and cashflows. Previous bank experience preferred.
