Being a Credit Clerk, Sr. communicates with the customers and other departments to solve the credit problems. May negotiate terms of payment to assist with collection of overdue balances. Additionally, Credit Clerk, Sr. requires a high school diploma or equivalent. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Credit Clerk, Sr. works under moderate supervision. Overview
The Credit Advisor preserves the Credit Union’s assets by controlling delinquent accounts, identifying outstanding debts, locating and contacting debtors, and planning a course of action to recover outstanding payments and outstanding collateral. The Credit Advisor reports to the Credit Advisory Section Manager.
Duties and Responsibilities
Must comply with all company policies and procedures, applicable laws and regulations, including but not limited to the Bank Secrecy Act, the Patriot Act, and the Office of Foreign Assets Control.
Education and Experience
Six months to two years of similar or related experience, including time spend in prepartory positions.
High School Degree or GED is required.
