CREDIT RISK MANAGER jobs in Grand Rapids, MI

Preferred Credit Union has an immediate opening for an experienced branch manager. The branch manger is responsible for building member relations by providing exceptional service, exceeding expectations and anticipating needs. The branch manager will also be responsible for bringing unity to the lending and cash-handling teams through exceptional leadership.

Specific Responsibilities:

• Supervise all personnel within the lending, member service and cash handling departments;
• Monitor branch operations to ensure a consistent, professional approach;
• Manage the security and safety of the branch; analyze and monitor security and safety policies and procedures on an on-going basis;
• Apply and evaluate polices and procedures for the branch; ensure that the branch is in compliance with federal and state laws and regulations as set forth by regulatory agencies;
• Performs cash drawer verifications periodically;
• Assists in the cash, lending & member service departments as necessary;
• Ensures branch is adequately staffed to meet the day to day needs of members;
• Approves timecards and overtime as necessary for assigned employees;
• Responsible for marketing promotion of all credit union services;
• Holds monthly one-on-one meetings with staff;
• Ensures that new employees are thoroughly trained in all phases of their specific job duties;
• Responsible for maintaining a professional posture and positive attitude at all times in order to set an example for the staff and other managers;
• Review and evaluate staff performance; responsible for documenting personnel files for staff including annual reviews, progress reports, disciplinary action;
• Creates an environment of making members money, saving members money or saving members time by offering products and services that would enhance their financial position.

A minimum of 5 years lending experience and 5 years of management experience are needed to exceed in this position.

Work days are Monday-Friday with 1 Saturday a month from 8:30 am - 12:15 pm.
